- 3 cups of All Purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp of Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp of Salt
- 3/4 cup Unsalted Butter, room temperature
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
In a medium bowl whisk together your flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together your butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until fluffy. Add your eggs one at a time, mix thoroughly.
Add your flour mixture to the butter mixture and incorporate.
Shape your dough into a disk and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for about an hour.
Once your dough has been in the fridge for about an hour, take it out and preheat your oven to 375F.
Lightly flour your work surface and flour your rolling pin. Roll to a thickness of about 1/4 of an inch.
Using some cookie cutters, cut out some shapes and lay them out on two baking sheets lined with parchment or silicone mats.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges.
Transfer to wire cooling racks and let cool completely before icing them with your favorite icing recipe.
