These taste like they’re straight from a pizzaria! They’re soft, garlic-y, parmesan-y, and are absolutely amazing. Why aren’t you eating one right now??
Ingredients you will need:
- 1 Ball of Pizza Dough (1/2 pizza dough recipe)
- 4-5 cloves of fresh Garlic
- 3 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup Parmesan (optional)
- Kosher salt & black pepper
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Flour your work surface and pat your pizza dough out to about 1/4 inch thickness. Using a pizza cutter or a chef’s knife, cut the dough into strips, about 1/2 thick.
You will want to tie these strips into a knot or cut them into one inch pieces and line them up on the baking sheet. These don’t have to be pretty going on the baking sheet because the end result is going to be pure awesomeness regardless.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden. While these are baking, let’s move onto our garlic concoction.
In a food processor (today I’m using my mini processor) add your olive oil, garlic, and parsley. Blend until smooth. Note that we didn’t add our parmesan cheese yet – I personally find that putting parmesan into a food processor changes its texture to something very gummy. I prefer to add it at the end with the seasoning.
Once the knots are done baking, immediately add them to a large bowl and pour over your garlic oil. You want to do this immediately so the warm knots absorb the garlic nicely. Season with salt and pepper and add your parmesan cheese.
Give things a good toss with a large spoon and enjoy!
