Looking for something a little sweet, a little salty, and easy to make? This is it! A great snack for kids or grown ups.
Ingredients you will need:
- 1 bag of Frito’s, or other corn chips
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Light Corn Syrup
- 1 cup Peanut Butter
- 6 oz Peanuts
- 1 bag of Mini Marshmallows
- 1 cup of Pretzel Sticks
- 1/2 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate
Great a 9×13 baking pan with either butter or cooking spray. Evenly spread half your bag of corn chips on the bottom of the pan, along with half of your peanuts, half of your pretzel sticks, and half of your bag of marshmallows.
In a medium sauce pan over medium heat, combine your sugar, corn syrup, and peanut butter. Keep mixing until things start to bubble.
Once it starts to bubble, spread half of your peanut butter mixture over the contents in your baking pan. You may need to smooth things with a spatula to even it out. It’s okay if your marshmallows melt a bit.
Add the rest of your corn chips, peanuts, pretzel sticks, and marshmallows on top.
You may want to press the marshmallows down a bit to help them stick – be careful not to burn your hands. You may want to use the back of a greased spoon.
In a small bowl, heat your chocolate in the microwave until melted. I put mine in for one minute, stirred, and then heated for another 15 seconds.
Drizzle your chocolate over top of your delicious new creation.
Now to let things set – I recommend popping your pan into the refrigerator for a couple of hours. You can leave this out on the counter at room temperature, but it will take longer to set. If you were to cut into things now it would end up being a gooey mess, sadly.
Once you’ve let your bars set, time to cut them up and enjoy!
You can keep sealed tightly at room temperature for a couple of days, or sealed in the refrigerator a bit longer.
